We organized a symposium with research contributions from the Greek and Swiss teams at the 16th European Conference of Sport and Exercise Psychology in Padua. The symposium offered the opportunity to promote the research field and, in view of global developments, to emphasize its importance for public health. Furthermore, existing contacts from the cooperation of the current research project could be cultivated and further steps could be agreed upon.
